How did groupshow come about?

Groupshow was created by artists, for artists.

We were finding it very frustrating using other sites for the purpose of looking at artwork. Online art galleries and websites tend to be over cluttered and badly designed, and therefore hard to navigate. We decided to set up something that is easy to use and that focuses on the visual. We wanted a place to view other artist’s work without all the clutter of text, adverts and confusion.
And on top of that, we wanted to make some new friends.

What is Groupshow?

Groupshow is a source to find and explore other artist’s work. If you are thinking about organizing a show or just wanting to find out what other artists are doing, only on Groupshow can you navigate and search by an image. Artists work with imagery and communicate with imagery, so it made sense to create a site that can be explored by imagery. If you see something that you are interested in, clicking on the image takes you directly to this persons website or online gallery. Since we are artists too, we understand how hard it is to get your work out there. With Groupshow we are trying to build an artists community to help each other rather than to capitalize on artists.

Artists community

Help us to make Groupshow as good as it can be. It is hard making it on your own as an artist, and Groupshow is all about building an art community, helping each other out and having shows together. If you are having a show, you can advertise it on Groupshow. If you want to organize and curate a group show, why not contact us or the artists directly. Our aim is to start setting up exhibitions artists on our site, and we have started looking for a suitable spaces.
